  • The M7 is one of the original Alexander Simpson brush designs pre-dating back to 1919 around the time the company was founded in the East End of London.

As such, the handle is synonymous within the shaving aficionado community. It is a brush handle replicated by other manufacturers many times, but never bettered.

This Limited Edition M7 is turned using our stunning Faux Ivory Rod & densely filled using our own uniquely sourced Two Band Silvertip Badger. This Two Band material offers super soft hair & excellent flow through properties meaning these brushes usually sell out very quickly. The bristles are very widely regarded amongst Simpson brush collectors.

M7 Two Band Silvertip Badger approximate brush specifications:

    Overall brush height - 110mm
    Handle height - 60mm
    Knot loft - 50mm
    Knot diameter - 22mm

    The ultimate bowl lathering brush!

  • Limited Edition M7 Two Band Silvertip Faux Ivory ( One brush to rule them all . )

I have been using a shaving brush and safety razor since i was 18 ( over 25 years ) and over that time i have used numerous shaving brushes.

In my journey to find the one, i have purchased 7 SImpson brushes and kept 3, 2 of which are M7 Silvertips 2band ( one Ivory and one Ebony ) and also i have kept an Ebony 2 band Captain Silvertip, I sold my Chubby 2 in best as the handle was too small for my hands and the knot was too dense for the flowthrough i wanted, then i bought and sold a Jubilee in Manchurian ( great knot but again, handle was too small .

Returned to wet shaving after having a beard for over a decade and decided to get a new brush, so i bought an Ebiny Duke 3 in best ( better but again, handle was too small ) Then i bought a Butterscotch Captain in Super Badger ( The softest knot i have ever used , but lacked backbone.)

Then i decided to try the SiLVERTiP 2 band knots, i bought a Captain in Ebony ( amazing handle and knot ) kept that one, but the King of brushes is the M7, great size handle ( Simpson says its a bowl lathering brush , i face lather with it ) and the fit and finish of the knot is exceptional, it has backbone, great bulb shape and lovely soft slightly gel tips, but what i love about most with the M7 is the flat ledge at the base of the knot which helps keep the lather on the knot and not all over your hands.

Simpson is a Stalwart of British Industry and you are buying quality that is made in Great Britain.
